Area Profile

With a high elevation and a location next door to Vermont's tallest peak Bolton has a good reputation for reliable snow.

The central mountain favors intermediates, with many good choices from the two highest summits as well as lower down. While not a beginners' mountain novices are in for a treat  with the majority of the green circle terrain up high, affording views and a real  in-the-mountains feeling that new skiers and riders don't often get. And because the easier trails cover a lot of ground, there's plenty of opportunity to progress onto harder trails. Night skiing runs from Wednesday to Saturday.
