Area Profile

Gstaad

Gstaad is the hub of the Gstaad Super Ski Region, with neighbouring resorts of Chateau D’Oex, Rougemont, Saanen, Schonried, Saanenmoser, Zweisimmen, St Stephan, Lauenen, and Gsteig offering a combined total skiable area of 250km. The area is served by 70 lifts and reaches a top elevation of 2,000m.

Beginners will find that more than half of the runs in Gstaad are rated as easy, with all of the sectors having some gentle runs. The wide open slopes, some trailing through woodland, offer great terrain for intermediates. Some of the toughest skiing in Gstaad is to be found on the Wassertgrat, with exceptional advanced runs found on the Videmanette Mountain.

Gstaad has many lively bars and restaurants which creates a vibrant atmosphere, all with a matching price tag!  The shopping is first class with designer boutiques throughout the town.
