Disentis
Disentis is Switzerland as it used to be - quiet pistes, friendly locals, quality accommodation and superb cuisine at affordable prices. It is located in central Switzerland, both Zurich and Friedrichshafen airports serve the area.
With skiing to 2833m Disentis offers snow sure skiing and an incredible 1594 metres of vertical descent. They have 60km of pistes and it is evenly suited for both advanced and intermediate skiers with some terrain for beginners.
There are some fantastic mountain restaurants offering a welcome rest - a must is to try some of the local dishes including Capuns and Bizochels.
