Area Profile

Szklarska Poreba is a small town with a population of only around 7,000 found in the Karkonosze Mountains. Providing 13 kilometres of skiing and walking routes, this has become the largest resort in the Karkonosze area.

The area is becoming increasingly  popular with skiers, Offering a great alternative to the Alps with its unique climate and long sunny days. Visitors also find value for money a great bonus when compared to the other European alternatives.

The city Szklarska is in close vicinity to Polana Jakuszycka which offers around 156 days of permanent snow in a cross country skiing centre.
