Area Profile

Waiorau Snow Farm

Waiorau is New Zealand’s only Nordic and cross-country ski area. It has 55 kms of carefully groomed trails which snake across the  Pisa plateau.  Events are held during the season and cater for all levels from the citizen skier to the international racer.

There is a Base lodge which can house over 70 guests and has a  comfortable lounge with dining and full bar facilities. There is also a Viewing deck with 360 degree panoramic view of the Southern Alps.

The ski school caters for the first time skier to the expert. The trail fees include road usage and lodge facilities for day skiers.

The main season is from the beginning of July to the end of September.
