Mt. Dobson
Just off the Christchurch/Queenstown highway, Mt Dobson is a short 40min drive. There is plenty of parking available in the highest alpine car park in NZ! There is shuttle transport available at weekends.
From the top of the ski area you can gaze out across the Pukaki and Tekapo lakes to the magnificent peaks of New Zealand’s highest mountains, Mt Cook & Mt Tasman. It is especially suitable for families, beginners and intermediates. High above the groomed slopes there is normally amazing soft smooth powder to challenge the best skiers and boarders.
Snow season is late June to early October.
