Coronet Peak
Coronet Peak wide open slopes and rolling terrain is a short drive from Queenstown. The terrain offers everything from wide open groomed runs, moguls, to open back bowls. New features include an additional snowmaking pump boosting the already extensive snowmaking system, and a 146-meter Magic Carpet snow lift in the Big Easy Learners Area.
35% of the skiing terrain is advanced at Coronet Peak. Freeriders love the rolling terrain full of exciting natural features.
Intermediates can access the entire mountain on long linked groomed wide trails. One of the longest trails is Express Way - it runs from the top of the Express Chairlift all the way down to the base area.
Beginners learn to ski at the Big Easy area, to the right of the base building. Once confidence grows you van catch the M1 Chairlift up to reach the long, well groomed and winding trails leading back down to the base area.
Local Queenstown has off the snow activities for everyone; jet boating, bungy jumping, hang gliding, scenic helicopter flights,horse riding, fishing, bike riding tours, snowmobile tours, sailing, hang gliding and white water rafting.
Queenstown is also a shopper’s paradise. It has skiing and snowboarding equipment and hire shops, art galleries, book stores, home furnishings, beauticians, outdoor sports shops, clothing boutiques, gift and souvenir stores, music stores and grocery and liquor markets.
