Area Profile

Cardrona

Cardrona Alpine Resort is a friendly and relaxed ski and snowboard
resort located between Wanaka and Queenstown.

The resort is made up of three distinct bowl areas, 320 hectares of snow cover, treeless slopes, and offers terrain for skiers and snowboarders of all ability levels. For those of a more adventurous nature, the freestyle park at Cardrona offers every type of kicker, table top and rail imaginable. With a new hi speed quad replacing the old chair at the Captains Lift, it will now be two-and-a-half times quicker to get to the top of the mountain. What this basically means is less time sitting on the chairlift and more time skiing or riding.

Base facilities surround a central courtyard. There are 4 restaurants, a snow shop, self service cafe, ski school, full rental services and a separate 200-seat cafe on the far side of the mountain.
