Gunstock first became a well recognised family holiday location in 1937 when snowtrains arrived at Laconcia. Night skiing is also available and is considered to be on of the region's largest.
The resort has 89 hectares of skiable terrain and 71 hectares of which are covered by snow cannons. Gunstock is also snowboard friendly! There is a terrain park and also a half pipe and a tubing park. Gunstock also boasts a large vertical drop of 1,400 feet.
