Winterberg is undoubtedly a great place for all to
enjoy, it benefits from just under half of its runs
being Beginner and an equal amount Intermediate; it
certainly is a place for enthusiasts and families to
go this year. On an average weekend there would be
approximately 50,000 skiers arriving from nearby
German cities, so there is always a very lively atmosphere! Most of the terrain is open until 10pm at night for floodlit snow sports.
Winterberg like many resorts, have made big investments in snow canons (keeping a large majority of the area skiable at all times) and have also got many surface lifts, and 3 high speed quads. The lifts also spread over a number of ski areas and above a few of the local villages.
