Area Profile

Chamrousse is a purpose-built French ski resort, whose popularity soared in 1968 when Jean Claude Killy won two gold medals there - in giant slalom and downhill. The ski resort offers a great range of pistes for snowboarders and skiers of all abilities making it ideal for families and enthusiasts.

The resort also benefits of a large amount of facilities and accommodation which has attracted many national and international sporting events besides skiing. Every winter Chamrousse is the home of the national dog sled championships and also the world cup snowboarding.
