Area Profile

Saariselka

The fell village of Saariselkä is some 250kms north of the Arctic Circle. It is a very compact resort, and all services are within a few hundred metres. It has a handful of hotels and cabins, in the middle of nature. It enjoys wonderful views across surrounding fells and easy access to the forest trails, whether it is for hiking, skiing or safaris. Also located at the edge of the resort is an excellent toboggan slope. A ski bus runs several times a day between the hotels and nearby slopes.
