Himos
Himos is the nearest of the big ski resorts to Helsinki. It haswell groomed slopes and a commitment to excellence in quality and service. In 1995 and 2001 Himos was chosen to be Finnish Ski Resort of The Year. The slopes at Himos are the highest and longest in Southern and Central Finland. Himos has 12 lifts, of which 3 are free of charge.
Himos offers extremely diverse surroundings for downhill enthusiasts. It has a total of 18 slopes and it provides both challenging and difficult ones as well as the gentle and easy to suit experts and beginners alike.
Snowboarders and other skiing experts have not been forgotten either. There is a super pipe, snow park/street, cross course and challenging moguls.
The ski season is quite long, starting in November and running until the start of May.
