Valle Nevado
In the heart of the Andes, very close to Santiago, Valle Nevado is the largest winter resort in the Southern hemisphere. Valle Nevado is located 3,025 metres above sea level and it has 9,000 hectares of skiable surface, distributed into 37 kms of ski runs.
It has powder snow, 34 runs and slopes along with a vertical drop reaching 810 metres - ending in splendid Andean fields and off-piste areas with excellent untouched snow.
For snowboarders there is the snowboard park. Being 100 metres long and 50 metres wide it provides two special runs: half pipe and border cross, together with the La Escondida cable ferry.
Valle Nevado is also praised for its hotel and food choice. Quality, good service and Chilean hospitality distinguish its hotels and restaurants.
Snow season is Middle of June to the start of October.
