Squaw Valley USA, site of the Winter Olympic Games in 1960, is one of the largest and most high concept ski areas in California.
An excellent resort for skiiers of all abilities with around a third of the runs consisting of single or double black diamonds. Beginners are well catered for too with professional tuiton and some wide open runs.
Squaw's terrain may seem endless to those trying to conquer it, with 33 lifts, including North America's only Funitel and an aerial Cable Car, access six peaks, 4,000 acres and 2,850 vertical feet of terrain.
