Area Profile

With a base elevation of 7,800 feet, Kirkwood is the highest starting point of any major resort in Lake Tahoe which helps it to acheive more snow and deeper powder then other regional resorts. The forested lower slopes are great for beginners and intermediates alike whilst more experienced skiiers can enjoy the higher slopes with their steep chutes and cornices.
