Area Profile

Fernie is located in the Rocky Mountains of British Columbia just 3 miles from the main town. It is home to some of the steepest terrains in North America, and an average snow fall of 960cm each season.

Fernie is an ideal location for advanced skiers looking for steep and staggering pistes, for the less advanced skiers there are plenty of slopes that are uncrowded designed for those who are just starting out.

Fernie is home to a local Victorian mining town which boasts plenty of day trips to attend and many activities to participate in, including ice skating, cowboy campfire dinners, curling and sleigh rides. An ideal location for all the family.
