Bjelasnica
Bjelasnica is located close to Sarajevo. During the 90's the region was devastated by war. Although parts of this are still visible, they have been rebuilding and are now open to the public.
Bjelasnica is reachable from Sarajevo (Approx 30 mins) by a well cared for road. But regardless of this, be prepared to use snow chains since it is not the custom to spread salt on the roads.
The total length of ski runs are about 20 km. There are two button lifts, two anchor lifts and one three seat chairlift which takes you take you to the mountain top in twelve minutes.
Two restaurants are available, and accomodation facilities are being re-built.
