Area Profile

Bad Hofgastein is an old Spa village, famous for its thermal healing water. The resort is located in one of Austria s largest Ski resorts (The Gastein Valley) and is linked to several others in the region. It has all the attributes you would expect of a popular Austrian resort and suits families right through to young adults seeking a good apres-ski.
The area is very popular with boarders as there are plenty of suited slopes and snowboarding classes available. For skiers there is a majority proportion of intermediate slopes, but still enough beginner and advanced areas to keep everyone satisfied. The resort in total has around 8km of runs in total.
