Caviahue
Caviahue, located at the heart of the Andes mountain range. A picturesque mountain village which lies at the foot of Volcano Copahue. The village is surrounded by lakes, basalt terraces, lagoons and the Monkey puzzle forest in which you will find rock carvings of cultural and archeological interest. Among the beautiful settings you will find natural springs to combine with your skiing for the perfect stay.
During the winter months Caviahue offers 1000 hectares of skiable surface, with a season from June to September Caviahue has the longest season of the southern hemisphere. With 8 Ski runs on offer some of which are through the prehistoric Conifer forests. You also have the chance to Ski off-piste from the Volcano crater to the base for an 8 kilometre decent.
The slopes of Caviahue vary in difficulty and suit all levels of ability. During the season Skiing classes may take place in groups or as one to one sessions, teaching Nordic, Alpine Skiing and snowboarding. The resort also offers lessons for the younger generation and takes place well off the main slopes in the specially designed snow gardens.
Within the resort you will find various hotels, Inns, B&B's and Spa's along with restaurants, shops and tea rooms. Equipment hire is also available on the resort.
