Area Profile

Banff is located in the Canadian Rocky Mountains in the centre of Banff National Park, there are three main ski areas in Banff including Lake Louise, Sunshine Village and Ski Norquay.

The ski season in Banff runs from early November to mid May with a winter temperature of around -12C but still with around 7 - 8 hours of sunshine per day. Banff has a selection of runs, green, blue and black so a fantastic location for skiers of all abilities, they are set quite low in the valley and is quite sheltered to ensure protection from the weather.

There are plenty of activities to enjoy away from the slopes including spas and hot springs, you can also head to Banff Avenue for trendy boutiques selling a range of designer clothing to souvenirs. There are many resturants and bars in the area including Italian, French and Mexican so a big choice for all members of the family.
