Nakiska ski resort was purposely designed to host the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympic Games, visitors from all round the world choose this location, being the newst ski resort in the Rocky Mountains.
Just a 45 minute drive from Calgary, located in Kananaskis Provincial Park, a fantastic location with 70% of the trails perfect for intermediate skiers. Beginner runs are found at the bottom of the mountain and the advanced runs starting at the top of the mountain.
Nakiska has a summit elevation of 7,415ft and has a vertical drop of 2,412 ft, 5 lifts operate on this resort taking an average of 8,600 skiers to the trails every hour.
